Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was January 9th, 2024. Students from Tye River Elementary wanted to thank the men and women of the Nelson County Sheriff's Department for their hard work and dedication to keeping us safe. Students made cards, a banner, “Blessing Bags”, and wrote letters to the men and women in the department. On January 12th, members of our Safety Patrol delivered the items. Thank you to Sheriff Embrey and the other men and women we met today for the warm greeting and allowing the students to tour your offices. We appreciate all that you do for us on this special day and every other day throughout the year!
