student achievement in
Virginia
’s Assessment Program as reported in state accreditation, federal “No
Child Left Behind” Annual Yearly Progress (AYP) report, school report
cards, and SAT’s. Other
general testing information is available for both parents and school
personnel. Parents may find
testing schedules, assessment reports, test taking tips, and SOL resources
helpful. School personnel will
find instructional links for alternative assessments, classroom
instruction, school test coordinator’s forms and various reports.

The Assessment and Testing department
supports student learning and achievement with the analysis of student
data. It is our goal to improve student achievement through:

Supporting the instructional department with quality data
with which to make instructional decisions through

quality local benchmark assessments

timely data analysis

targeted remediation programs, and

recognizing and promoting quality instructional practices
