Nelson County Public Schools are a participating member of the Shenandoah Valley Technology Consortium.  This organization, in cooperation with WVPT Public Television, was awarded approximately $950,000 per year for the next five years to provide technology, resources and high quality professional development for teachers and administrators among twenty different school divisions.  Much of the funding contained in the grant is committed towards providing teachers the opportunity to learn about the latest technology and how it is applicable to the classroom setting.  This "state of the art" training in collaboration with technology resources such as United Streaming, gives us an upper hand as we prepare all students for the 21st century.
